Choice without chaos
The engine constrains each branch enough to preserve a coherent story while leaving meaningful decisions to the child. The interesting design problem is balancing surprise, continuity and age-appropriate structure.
SIDE QUEST / STORIES / FAMILY
A branching story system turns bedtime into collaborative world-building. Children choose what happens next; recurring characters, places and lessons can accumulate into a family mythology rather than disappearing after one telling.
IMPORTANT: No language model is connected in this browser demo. This is a fixed, prewritten branching prototype — NOT the fully functional personalized choose-your-own-adventure journey-book experience. Choices do respond to the path you take, but no AI story text is being generated. A connected LLM is required for true personalization, semantic memory and open-ended journeys.

The long-term idea is a persistent story graph: characters and decisions become nodes and edges, favorite branches can return, and a parent can preserve memorable adventures as books.
