Nice to meet you
ABOUT ME
My initial interest in industrial engineering started with the television show "How It's Made". I wanted to enter an engineering field focused on complete systems and the interactions between processes. I proceeded with an undergraduate degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and currently pursuing a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Data Science.
I like to learn production methods from those who do the hands on work, then dig into data to validate assumptions and uncover hidden variables that may be influencing performance to the system. Common tools I use include SQL, Teradata, Simio discrete event simulations, Minitab data analysis, and Tableau data visualizations.
My primary experience is in in aircraft manufacturing. My experience includes new aircraft programs, light private jets, large private jets, military defense & surveillance aircraft, and widebody commercial airliners. I have performed industrial engineering tasks for the following platforms: HA-420, HondaJet Elite, Boeing 707, Boeing 787, Boeing Dreamlifter, Gulfstream G400/G500/G600/G650/G650ER/ G700/G800
I am a father to my 11 month old daughter, Andersson, and a husband to Samantha. We enjoy weekend breakfasts at Vicious Biscuit and early morning walks on Sullivan's Island beach.
My methods
EXPERIENCE
Collaboration
I enjoy working with a variety of people from mechanics to engineers of various disciplines. Even quality engineers, sometimes.
Data Storytelling
I enjoy converting the data and technicalities into concise stories for anybody to understand.
Data Science
Conversations with the floor give me an idea where I need to focus but data is necessary to perform Root Cause & Correct Actions. I pull on principles from lean six sigma and technical skills I've picked up along the way.
System Analysis
You won't find me working projects to reduce a job's standard time from 2 hours to 1. Instead, you'll find me focused on resolving systematic issues causing days-long delays to a process.
